New Hearing Loop System Debuts

The opening night performance of Verdi’s Rigoletto will also be the inauguration of the newly installed Hearing Loop System at Sarasota Opera House.

To spotlight the new system, the Longboat Observer has published a profile of Sarasota Opera Guild member and Hearing Loop advocate Barbara Chertok!

Ms. Chertok discusses how opera continued to be a life long passion even after losing her hearing at the age of 21, and shares her excitement at the installation of the new hearing loop system at the Opera House.

"Hearing Loop Systems are the ideal solution for people who wear hearing aids or cochlear implants to hear better in theaters . . . . A hearing loop is the only system that sends the sound of a voice or instrument  from a microphone directly into a hearing aid or cochlear implant for the clearest, most superior sound currently possible." —Hearing Loss Association of Sarasota

To learn more about hearing loops, visit the Hearing Loss Association of Sarasota website.

For more information about Cochlear implants please contact Florida Medical Retreat.
