Education: A Florida native, Dr. Shoemaker received his bachelor and medical degrees from the University of Florida, and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Ochsner Clinic and Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. In 1983, Dr. Shoemaker established his practice in Venice, Florida. Today, Center For Sight is acclaimed as one of the premier eye care facilities in the world.
